Purpose: The public will have access to the data through the What’s in my Community mapping application. They can use the data to document the wind speed and direction when they are filing an odor compliant with the department.
Supplemental Information: Locate the nearest monitor to the odor complaint for the most accurate representation of wind data.

Meteorological data is acquired from NJDEP monitoring sites. That data is queried to pick out the site locations, wind speed, and direction. This process is run every minute.
